At OnPrintShop, we are continuously evolving our solution capabilities to help you deliver the best services to your customers and grow your online business. We are releasing OnPrintShop v6.0 which includes new features and enhancements to meet the changing requirements of our clients. HTML5 is major release, we will be migrating existing solution in phases, as critical aspect is migrating existing templates to HTML 5, which will be time consuming. Following is the summary for the scope of v6.0:

HTML5 Designer Studio

Offer personalized experience for every print product with no technical skills required. Now allow customers design from any devise, offering easy interface to easily personalize their favorite products.

HTML 5 allows customer to personalize products in a smart, light, quick and easy to fully load designer studio which is equipped with advance features like Support PDF / SVG graphics, Multiple Backside options, Multiple Theme – promotional, Standard & Customizable fonts*, Key Board Shortcuts, Canvas Adjustment (Pan tool), Product specific preview like JPG / PDF.

1. Offer Product Specific Look n feel & Designer Studio Theme Options New

Now HTML 5 comes with admin module to manage highly configurable features as below:

Studio Configuration Settings (Configurable Look and Feel) New: This feature allows the admin user to configure the look and feel and the functional settings of the studio in the front store for the end user like Default Zoom, Font Sizes, Font Family, Safe / Trim Margin, RGB/CMYK print ready output etc…

Product Wise Studio Settings (Dynamic Personalization from Product Page) New: This feature will enable the admin user to personalize the studio configurations product wise for the ease of end customer usability like product wise Canvas position, elements settings, top and right panel controls, etc…

Separate Language Text Reference New: The feature enables the admin to personalize the studio text for the end customer by personalizing the messages and references for ease of navigation and use.

Promotional Product Configuration New: This feature enables the admin user to create and configure promotional products like t-shirt, Mugs, Caps, etc. in the system for the end customer to customize and order.

2. Page Wise Layout Creation in Templates New

This feature helps the admin user to configure Page wise layouts for products which can be used by the end user to personalize the product by choosing separate layout for the same product on different pages. E.g. if for a standard business card, the admin wants to define multiple backs like calendar, Appointment reminder, etc. the admin user can use this feature.

3. Personalize Color Palettes New

This feature enables the admin to create personalized color palettes to be used in the front store by the end customer, the color palettes can be configured product wise from the admin panel.

4. Personalized Font Upload New

This feature enables the admin user to upload their own fonts in the system which can be used by the end customer in the front store.

PDFLIB Block Features

We have enhanced the PDFLIB Block features top meet the changing demand in the market. The bellow mentioned are the highlights for the same.

Printable / Non Printable Block New: This feature enables the admin user while creating a PDF block template if the admin user wants to have a block that should show up in the system but not in the print ready file he can mark the block as nonprintable.

Block Specific Validation New: This feature enables the admin user to define certain specific validations for the block through the manage block section in the system. Following are the put validation types Regular Expression with few default validation format like email, mobile, etc., Date Specific Range and Allowed Characters in Text block.

Virtual Block Enhancement During Bulk PDF Generation : This feature enables the user to use the virtual blocks in the templates to be used in the mass personalization CSV upload as it is displayed on the studio page left panel.

Enhancement of Centralized Fields and Dependency Rules : This feature simplifies the block management process for any template where the admin user has used centralized field personalization or dependency rules.

Optimization of Preview Speed New: This feature helps the end customer to generate the previews for their designs in a much better and faster speed.


HTML5 Designer Studio

OnPrintShop HTML5 design studio offers control to PSP’s to offer easy and unique designing experience for each print product types & generates high resolution print ready files to push into production. Easily add/edit new templates, comes with complimentary templates to quickly offer online designing. The end user and the admin user while personalizing a product and creating / updating a template respectively can use this all new studio loaded with latest features. Bellow Mentioned are few of the features:

The HTML5 designer along with being light on the system has a smooth and streamline performance when it comes to the personalizing the product design. The studio look and feel is totally configurable from the admin panel and in there are also some provisions provided to admin user to personalize the studio product wise. The following are few important aspects of admin configuration for designer studio.

1. Offer Product Specific Look n feel & Designer Studio Theme Options

Studio Configuration Settings (Configurable Look and Feel)
Currently in the system there is no provision from where the admin user can easily change the look and feel of the studio store front form the admin panel, now with HTML5 studio we have given the flexibility to the admin user where they can customize the look and feel and take care of the elements icon, labels, position, alignment, etc. of the action buttons visible on the studio store page.

  • PDF / JPEG preview method.
  • Multiple Theme selection.
  • Canvas Positions
  • Elements Configuration like Text, Shapes, Images, Etc.
  • Element Property Configuration like color, opacity, fonts family, etc.
  • Default zoom percentage
  • Zoom interval configuration
  • Top panel and Left panel action buttons configuration like alignment, sort order, labels etc.
  • Default selection of Tabs in left panel
  • Etc…

Product Wise Studio Settings (Dynamic Personalization from Product Page)
Encourage your customers to adapt an interface specifically designed as per the product choices. Customized on the basis of multiple product requirements, offer customers an-all-together innovated designing experience. The admin user will have full control in the product wise configuration as the admin user had in case of the general studio page settings discussed above. The admin user will be able to block some features for the specific product which are available in the general studio page or vice versa. Following are few highlights of the same:

  • Enable disable Product Wise Element provision.
  • Enable disable Top Panel Action buttons.
  • Apply product wise Left panel settings.
  • Define product wise canvas zoom properties.
  • Define product wise element properties.
  • Define product wise Image properties.
  • Define product wise preview method.
  • Enable disable QR code generation product wise.
  • Etc…

Separate Language Text References
There will be a provision in the system where the admin user can define language text references specially for the studio page for defining personalized messages, Labels, Tool tips, etc. for the end customer. The admin user can define messages, labels, tool tips, etc. for all the active languages from the same interface for the studio page.

Promotional Product Configuration
There will be a provision in the system from where the admin user can create promotional products like T-shirt, Mugs, CD covers, etc. in the system to offer it to the end customer. A whole separate designer studio will be available for the promotional product in the system named as basic designer studio. The promotional product flag has to be enabled by the admin user form the Add / edit product page. Once the flag is enabled and the admin user saves the product information to continue a whole new section for promotional product will be added in the page.

From the promotional product tab, the admin user can manage the configurations related to the promotional product like the colors offered for the product, the product size wise and page wise canvas images and the preview images size wise and page wise for the product. The configuration from the admin panel will determine the studio look and feel at the front end.

2. Page Wise Layout Creation in Template

There will be a provision in the system where the admin user while creating a template for a product, instead of creating templates for the whole product the admin user can choose to design a layout for any one page of the product if it has multiple pages. The admin user will be able to do the same form the Add Template page in the admin panel.
A special option named Template Layout will be available to the admin user to create a layout. The layouts created by the admin user will not be visible on the browse design page in the front store. The layouts will only be visible to the end user on the studio page in the templates tab of the left panel.

3. Personalize Color Palette

There will be a provision in the system from where the admin user can create their own color palette to be offered to the end customer. The admin user will have four options to choose from in the type of color palettes while creating a personalized color palette like RGB, CMYK, Advanced RGB and Advanced CMYK.

The admin user can add colors for the palettes by either manually entering the color codes in the given textboxes or the admin user will also have a provision to upload a CSV for all the colors in the palette. After creating the palettes, the admin user will be able to assign the color pallets to products form the Add / Edit product page in the admin panel.

4. Personalized Font Upload

There will be a provision in the system from where the admin user if required can upload their own fonts for the end customer to be used for personalizing the product design. The admin user can upload as many fonts as required for studio usage from the interface. All the uploaded fonts will be displayed on the text property panel in the font style dropdown, the end user can choose from the available fonts and continue the personalization using the selected fonts.

5. PDFLIB Block Features

Printable / Non Printable Block
There will be a provision in the system from where the admin user manages block properties for any Block PDF template there will be a flag from where block can be marked as printable yes or no from the block properties section. If this flag is marked as “Yes” then everything will work as is. If the flag is marked as “No” then that specific block will appear in the designer studio, In Print Preview, in thumbnails and images but when the admin downloads the Print ready file the block will not be visible in the print ready filed.

Block Specific Validation
There will be provision in the system from where the admin user can set specific validations for blocks of a PDF block template which will help the admin user to capture the required data from the end customer which in turn save his time. Following are the Validation added:

  • Regular Expression: The admin user can apply validation on regular field blocks likes emails, Telephone No., Website, etc. for the blocks there are few validations already provided by default in the system. If the admin user wants to add some validations of their own in the system, then the system has the provision for that as well.
  • Date Specific Range: In some cases, the admin will not want the user to select a past date like upcoming appointment or discount expiration, again in some cases the admin does not want the user to select a future date like date of birth or joining date. Now there is a provision in the system from where the admin can restrict the end user from doing so by selecting the right validation for date picker option.
  • Allowed Character: In some blocks like mobile no., Discount Amount, etc. only numbers should be entered in the value, also in some blocks like city, state, country etc. only alphabets should be entered, now we have a provision from where the admin user can decide in the text formatting option of the block what type of characters should be allowed to enter in the block.

Virtual Block Enhancement During Bulk PDF Generation
Currently in the system when we try to upload data in the Mass Personalization the virtual blocks are placed inside the same block not as a separate and that tends to a lot of mistakes, now there is a provision in the system where when the end user download the sample CSV format the virtual blocks will come in separate columns and the customer can fill in the details and when the CSV is uploaded in the system the system will read the virtual block values form the respective columns and will update the preview accordingly.

Enhancement of Centralized Fields and Dependency Rules
Currently in when the admin user has used the centralized field personalization we show all blocks of all pages together which becomes confusing for the admin user when it comes to applying some rules on the blocks, now there is a provision in the system that when the admin user centralized field personalization the blocks will be displayed page wise not together and thus the rules can be applied easily and the rule will be applied for all the blocks being personalized for the first time, if required the admin can go to individual blocks and then override the rules for the blocks.

Currently in the system if dependency rules are applied on multiple blocks in a template and then any block is deleted or added the rules are automatically altered and the admin user has no idea for the same, now there is a provision in the system where if there is any such case the system will notify the admin before saving the template of any such change and its effects so that the admin is aware of the change and if needed can change it accordingly.

Optimization of Preview Speed
Currently in the system sometimes if the template is too heavy or the images are of high resolution then the preview generation for the end customer is a cumbersome task, now in the system we have worked on this pain area and optimized the preview generation method and as a result of this we have made the preview generation process better and faster for the end customer.
